[It takes him awhile, and admittedly he cheats by summoning Moody Blues to support him along the way so he doesn't lose his footing because frankly Abbacchio is already kind of fucked up.
So he does the unreasonable thing and goes to seek out a distraction and maybe a drinking pal.
[ alucard is patient, as it were, and when abbacchio knocks, he opens the door relatively quickly. he looks sharp, as he always does, in a black suit, and his red duster is thrown over the back of a chair by his table.
he can tell, immediately, that he's pretty high on the fucked up scale already, but he's not a guy to ask about a dude's drinking habits really, so he just steps aside to let him in. anyway, he's definitely good looking. alucard's not blind. ]
Good to see you.
[ he'll gesture him toward a chair, once he's in. ]
Well, I realized I never answered your question. The truth is, I didn't really want to say it in front of a lot of people, but it's not like I'm ashamed of it, either.
The reason I haven't slept in a long time is because I didn't need to, because I was a ghost. I think maybe I still am, but I'm more alive right now than I was before.
( Well, that happened. And frankly, Kiritsugu doesn't know which part of this he finds more disconcerting: that another enemy servant from his Grail War has appeared in this world, or that Literally Dracula, Voivode of Wallachia, seems to have taken a liking to him.
Well, he did save him. Whether he really cared for that to happen or not (perhaps he should, if nothing else, for Iri's sake,) he ought to at least thank him.
He's changed since arriving at the hotel (a a brightly coloured kimono, large enough for his multiple tails to peek out from underneath in this kitsune form,) and when Alucard enters the break room, he'll notice..... Kiritsugu's set up an N64. )
I don't suppose you're familiar with one of these.
( It's a sheepish comment, even for him. But who knows. Alucard seemed domesticated in other ways, so it's not entirely implausible. )
[ alucard only enters the break room when he has to--that said, he doesn't really tire, or need to sit around and eat, and he's much happier being busy and working, but rules are rules, so periodically he'll trek there and slip inside and sit around lazing and checking the network until it's time to go back to his shift.
this time though, kiritsugu is already there, and he cants his head slightly to observe what he's doing. ]
I've never used one, but I'm--aware of what it is. Video games, right?

thank you for telling me, you didn't have to, but i had wondered
and you know, i'm over 500 years old, and i'd never spoken to a ghost before, i'm glad my first conversation with one was so pleasant
this place changed me a bit too, but i'm still a vampire, so i think your assumption is probably right
