[Anxieties relating to her status as a Dominant without a Submissive. Cabin fever after being cooped up in this place for so long. Her own rage at Takasugi, constant and unending; the offer Akande had made her, seductive and dark and awful. [ his are perhaps less petty, though. all he thinks about lately is murder, but is it murder or self defense? he doesn't know. it's certainly not mercy like his normal killings are, because the people he's wanting to kill are happy the way they are.
it's complicated, but he's not going to back away from the plans he's making. ]
There are plenty of places I could start, for that. Was there anything in particular you'd like to know?
First off I'll slice somewhere--anywhere, really, it doesn't matter--and bleed into a cup or something for you. You won't need much, but you need to be tied to me first for it to work. Once you've had that, we'll have to wait...about an hour? For it to set in properly. It's not instantaneous.
Then once that's done I need to bite you and drain you of your blood. I have to drink some of it. Not all of it, but what else are we going to do with it? I just need to take enough to bring you to the brink of death.
[ just. ]
I don't know what it feels like for people that turn that way, and it's been centuries since I turned. But I felt very cold for a long time, like ice. Then I felt ill, nauseated, for a small stretch while my body shut down entirely. I was beheaded of course, so even though dying felt like ages it was very quick.
[ he sighs, trying to think of any more details. ]
After that, it doesn't take long. It feels... strange, though, to wake up. Your senses are sharper, your body doesn't feel like your own. You're stronger, faster, lighter on your feet, everything that being a vampire entails. It just takes a time to get used to it, to work yourself to the point where you know how everything works.
To become a fully fledged vampire though, you'll have to drink blood from a human. Then your strength will settle, you'll feel more comfortable in your own skin again, and things will sort themselves out.
[She listens to all of it carefully. None of it is a total surprise, though some of the details are new. She's reminded yet again of that stupid virginity clause, or else she'd never have to drink his blood, but it is what it is. She won't risk becoming something mindless for the sake of experimentation.]
My death felt as though it took an eternity. I wonder if all deaths do.
[She'll see, she supposes. One of the few people who gets to experience it again, how delightful.]
Mm. I've wondered the same. If my death felt long because of my decision or if it was simply the nature of death.
[ he knows the answer to this one, at least. ]
Your body will never completely settle. You won't be at full strength, and you'll gradually weaken. As time goes on, things like regeneration will peter out, and your senses will dull. eventually you'll go into a coma-like state, in stasis until you get blood.
More the latter. Food will become completely unpalatable and make you sick, and once your body changes fully you'll more or less enjoy the taste of blood, though it might take some getting used to.
[ but he drinks wine and coffee and stuff without getting sick, what gives-- ]
My ability to drink and eat is unique to me, unfortunately. Still, I get no sustenance from it, so I stick with wine because I like it.
[ he chokes on a laugh, but it's a good question. ]
You'll feel some effect from it, naturally, but it won't be as strong as being able to drink naturally. I will say you can add blood to alcohol and drink it like that, but it may still make you sick.
[That's still an enormous shift in power from what she had, but she feels something in her stomach sink in disappointment nevertheless. It doesn't matter, not really, but--
It would have been nice, to hear Robert's voice again.
At least what he says next is interesting. Without a moment of hesitation she reaches over, prodding him with one finger.]
You seem solid enough. Though I suppose it would be fairly useless if you couldn't be that.
[There's more questions she wants to ask. A thousand more, honestly. But she's so exhausted right now, and the prospect seems tiring. She sighs softly, turning back to face front.]
[ he thinks about this for a moment, trying to look back at it objectively. the major didn't beat him: the major cheated, and just slowed him down. finally, he answers. ]
A mix of both with a smattering of luck, I'm sure. I lived as a warrior, after all, and in my earlier years I continued to act as such. Later, I just... grew stronger. Now, I'm the strongest I've ever been. Aside from the seals.

Tell me more about being a vampire.
[She's all but decided in her mind.]

What happens if I never drink human blood?

[Oh, well. There are plenty who are willing to donate, and from the sounds of it, she only needs a taste. Although--]
I assume the, ah, taste changes. When I do. Or it becomes something appealing.

An answer was all that was necessary, thank you. I'll experiment on my own time, then.
[At least if she vomits from it no one has to know. Rosalind sighs sharply, her fingers curling against the half-wall she's leaning lightly against.]
Are there any other sexual clauses I ought to know about? Am I going to be a virgin again, that seems about the frequency this all works upon.

still, he smiles faintly until her question, then he crosses his arms over his chest. ]
I know you're being sarcastic with that, but no. This method circumvents the clause entirely.

[A beat.]
Will I be able to shapeshift as you do?
no subject
[ he considers the question. ]
Not to my extent, no. Bats, a mist, dogs, so on, the cliches, yes. They're cliches for a reason. I'm...
[ a pause. ]
I'm not exactly... solid. Anymore. More a malleable mass of being. It's why I can shapeshift as much as I do.

I'd like to spar you, once I turn.

Realistically my body is human right now, but yes, while I'm a shapeshifting eldritch mass at heart, when I transform I can make myself solid again.
[ what she says next surprises him but he nods, not thinking twice about it. ]
Of course. I'd be more than happy to.

[Not that she thinks she will regardless. She's still such a novice at fighting, never mind all her new powers and body.]

Never. Not since I became a vampire.

[Another thought pops into her mind, and it's honestly a relief. Anything is better than her usual thoughts.]
Will I still be able to work on them as a vampire? Or will they hurt me too?
