First off I'll slice somewhere--anywhere, really, it doesn't matter--and bleed into a cup or something for you. You won't need much, but you need to be tied to me first for it to work. Once you've had that, we'll have to wait...about an hour? For it to set in properly. It's not instantaneous.
Then once that's done I need to bite you and drain you of your blood. I have to drink some of it. Not all of it, but what else are we going to do with it? I just need to take enough to bring you to the brink of death.
[ just. ]
I don't know what it feels like for people that turn that way, and it's been centuries since I turned. But I felt very cold for a long time, like ice. Then I felt ill, nauseated, for a small stretch while my body shut down entirely. I was beheaded of course, so even though dying felt like ages it was very quick.
[ he sighs, trying to think of any more details. ]
After that, it doesn't take long. It feels... strange, though, to wake up. Your senses are sharper, your body doesn't feel like your own. You're stronger, faster, lighter on your feet, everything that being a vampire entails. It just takes a time to get used to it, to work yourself to the point where you know how everything works.
To become a fully fledged vampire though, you'll have to drink blood from a human. Then your strength will settle, you'll feel more comfortable in your own skin again, and things will sort themselves out.
